An 88-year-old woman in Italy died of a heart attack after seeing the amount on her water bill.

The woman, named Caterina Giovinazzo, who lived in the city of Sanremo, fainted when she saw the amount on her water bill. The bill for the period from August to October was 15,000 Euros. The water company withdrew 7,000 Euros from the woman's account and requested the payment of the remaining 8,000 Euros.

Giovinazzo suffered a heart attack upon seeing the bill and lost her battle for life after 40 days of treatment in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

THE ACTUAL AMOUNT TURNED OUT TO BE 48 EUROS

Following the unfortunate woman's death, it was revealed that her maximum water consumption at home was only a few cubic meters and amounted to just 48 Euros. The water company acknowledged that the situation was due to their errors, stating, "We will immediately contact the family to verify the reasons for this amount."
