The incident occurred yesterday evening around 19:00 in Yenidoğan Neighborhood, 3093rd Street in Kepez District of Antalya. According to the information obtained, 51-year-old Halil İbrahim A., who was claimed to have psychological problems, collided with another vehicle while driving his truck and started to flee. After a while, Halil İbrahim A., who parked his vehicle and waited inside, started firing around with the pump-action rifle he had with him.

Upon the notification of the citizens in the vicinity, a large number of special operations police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Police teams, who arrived at the scene, first ensured the security of the area and tried to persuade Halil İbrahim A. While the persuasion efforts were ongoing, the driver Halil İbrahim A. inside the truck shot himself in the chest with the pump-action rifle and was seriously injured. After the initial intervention of the medical teams who arrived at the scene, the injured Halil İbrahim A. was taken to the hospital. Despite all interventions performed at the hospital, Halil İbrahim A. could not be saved.
