In the late hours, a dispute broke out between Suat Yiğenli and his father Yılmaz Yiğenli in the Balabanlı Road area of Umurbey Neighborhood for an undetermined reason. As the argument escalated, Suat Yiğenli struck his father on the head with an axe, seriously injuring him. Suat Yiğenli then consumed agricultural poison.

Hediye Yiğenli, who was at their home in the center of Ödemiş and went to their garden house in Umurbey Neighborhood around 08:00 today, found her husband and son motionless on the ground and asked for help from neighbors.
