CONSECUTIVE CRITICAL APPOINTMENTS
Last week, significant changes in positions occurred with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
- Burhanettin Duran was appointed as the Head of the Communications Directorate, replacing Fahrettin Altun.
- Esma Ersin was appointed as the Head of Alevi-Bektashi Culture and Cemevi.
- Abdullah Eren was appointed as the Head of TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency).
- Comprehensive changes were also made at TRT. Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz was appointed as the Chairman of the TRT Board of Directors, and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zahid Sobacı was appointed as the General Manager and Board Member of TRT.
CABINET CORRIDORS ARE MOVING
After the appointments, eyes turned to the Presidential Cabinet. TGRT News Ankara News Coordinator Ahmet Sözcan shared important backstage information live. Sözcan stated, "The corridors are moving. There were those who said the cabinet reshuffle was postponed to September. However, there may be some movements within this week," he expressed.
EXPECTATIONS OF CHANGES BY THURSDAY
Providing a timeline for a possible cabinet change, Sözcan said, "It is being discussed that some changes may occur by Thursday. However, let’s emphasize that the cabinet change is entirely at the discretion of the President. We will wait and see if this backstage information holds true or not. For now, it would not be right to name anyone; let’s always leave a margin of caution," directing attention to Beştepe.
