While the investigation into the murder of Narin Güran in Diyarbakır continues, father Arif Güran spoke about his family. Arif Güran stated, "If my family has committed a crime, the state should punish them. I have not visited my family in prison." STATEMENT FROM NARIN'S FATHER REGARDING HIS ARRESTED FAMILYThe investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in the bed of Eğertutmaz Stream 19 days after she went missing in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, is ongoing. After being detained as part of the investigation, father Arif Güran made new statements. "I HAVE NOT VISITED MY FAMILY IN PRISON"Speaking to A Haber, Arif Güran stated that he has not visited his arrested family in prison. Arif Güran said: "If my family has committed a crime, the state should punish them. I have not visited my family in prison. The state will reveal everything." "EVERYONE IN THE VILLAGE HAS BECOME BLIND"That man (Nevzat Bahtiyar) used to come and sit next to me every evening; that man is a murderer. In my eyes, my family would not do this to me, but I cannot say anything against the state's evidence and proof. Everyone in the village has become blind." WHAT HAPPENED?On August 21, after Narin Güran went to a Quran course in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district and did not return home, her family searched for her on their own. When they could not find any results from the search, Narin's father, Arif Güran, reported that his daughter was missing around 8:00 PM on the same day. Following this, numerous search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and searches were conducted in the houses in the neighborhood and in vehicles entering the village. While the search efforts were ongoing, Narin Güran's brother, E.G. (18), was detained due to bite marks on his arm. In the examination at the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, since it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin, E.G. was released. Subsequently, Narin's uncle, who is also the village headman of rural Tavşantepe, Salim Güran, was detained. It was determined that DNA samples taken from his vehicle matched the DNA samples found on Narin's clothes, leading to Salim Güran's arrest for 'intentional murder' and 'deprivation of liberty.' Teams, which had previously focused on searched areas, conducted work in the Eğertutmaz Stream, located 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, and Narin's lifeless body was found on the 19th day. It was determined that Narin had been thrown into the stream in a sack after being killed, and her body was covered with stones.
