In the Gemlik district of Bursa, a 75-year-old man shot and killed his rival by firing seven shots at him while he was sitting in a coffeehouse. It was reported that the suspect stated in his testimony, "I shot him because he stole my money." Additionally, footage captured by security cameras showed that one person continued to sip their tea during the moment of the murder, which drew attention.
Last night around 10:00 PM, a brutal incident occurred in the Balıkpazarı neighborhood of Gemlik district in Bursa. Mustafa K. (75) approached his rival Ümit Tunç (53), who was sitting in a café, and opened fire with 7 shots.
5 BULLETS HIT HIS BODY
Tunç was hit by 5 bullets in his body, sustaining injuries to his back and waist, while Mustafa K. fled the scene. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the location. After the initial intervention at the scene, Tunç was taken by ambulance to Gemlik State Hospital.
DIED IN THE HOSPITAL
The man, who was treated here, unfortunately lost his life despite all the doctors' interventions. It was learned that Tunç, a father of one, had come to Gemlik from Malatya after the earthquakes on February 6, worked as a toast seller, and had divorced his wife. His body was taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institution morgue for an autopsy.
"I SHOT HIM BECAUSE HE STOLE MY MONEY"
Gemlik District Police Department teams quickly apprehended the suspect and took him into custody. It was reported that the suspect stated in his testimony, "We had a feud because he stole my money. That's why I shot him." The investigation initiated by the Gemlik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident is ongoing.
CONTINUED TO DRINK TEA DURING THE MURDER
As the incident was captured on camera, it was notable that one person in the café continued to drink his tea without moving, despite the panic caused by the sound of 7 gunshots.
