In the presidential elections held in Barcelona, Joan Laporta won again, extending his term and gaining the right to manage the club until 2031.
In the presidential election held at the Spanish giant Barcelona, the current president Joan Laporta was re-elected. Laporta took the presidency again by leaving his rival Victor Font behind.
MORE THAN 48 THOUSAND MEMBERS VOTED
A total of 48,480 votes were cast in the election held at the club. According to the results from the ballot box, Joan Laporta was re-elected as the president of Barcelona with the support of the majority of the members.
WILL STAY IN OFFICE UNTIL 2031
With the election result, Laporta will continue his role in Barcelona and has gained the right to manage the club until 2031. After the announcement of the results, Laporta and his team experienced great joy.
IMPORTANT NAMES OF THE CLUB ALSO VOTED
After Barcelona's match where they defeated Sevilla 5-2, many important names also went to the polls in the voting held within the club. In addition to head coach Hansi Flick, players Dani Olmo, Gavi, and Ronald Araújo also cast their votes.
