In Esenyurt, a person named Turgut Bakırcı shot his wife and sister-in-law in a park due to the 6.2 magnitude earthquake. The individual was beaten by citizens in the park and was handed over to the police, while an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
A brutal incident occurred last night in Gaziler Park, located in the Mehterçeşme neighborhood of Esenyurt district in Istanbul. Due to the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred off the coast of Silivri on Wednesday, April 23, Pınar Bakırcı began to stay in a tent set up in the park with her mother and three children.
SHOT HIS WIFE AND SISTER-IN-LAW
Turgut Bakırcı, Pınar Bakırcı's husband, with whom she has been living separately for a while, came to the park to talk. During a dispute that started for an unknown reason between the couple, Turgut Bakırcı opened fire on Pınar Bakırcı and her sister-in-law Arzu Kaygusuz with the gun he was carrying.
CITIZENS LYNCHED HIM
Upon the notification of the surrounding people, police and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the area. Citizens in the park caught Bakırcı, who tried to escape after the incident. The suspect, who was beaten by the citizens until the police teams arrived, was later handed over to the police.
INJURED WOMEN RECEIVED TREATMENT
Injured Pınar Bakırcı and Arzu Kaygusuz were taken to the hospital by ambulances after the first interventions at the scene. In the police investigation, it was determined that Pınar Bakırcı was hit by 2 bullets and Arzu Kaygusuz by 1 bullet. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
