The chilling details of a murder that took place in England have emerged in court.

MURDERED HIS EX-WIFE AT THEIR SON'S GRAVE

68-year-old Martin Suter killed his 71-year-old ex-wife Ann Blackwood at Crofton Cemetery in Stubbington, Hampshire. The horrifying incident occurred on what would have been the 36th birthday of their son Christopher, who had committed suicide. Ann Blackwood was attacked with a knife by Suter while she was visiting her son's grave to leave flowers.

According to a report by the BBC, prosecutor Robert O'Sullivan KC stated in court that Suter arrived at the cemetery in the morning and began waiting for his ex-wife with a kitchen knife and scissors he had brought from home. When Ann Blackwood arrived at the cemetery on her bicycle in the afternoon, Suter cut her throat and stabbed her multiple times in the back with the scissors.

CONFESSED TO THE HORRIFIC MURDER

After the murder, Suter called the police and said, "I just stabbed my ex-wife to death." He also confessed to the crime when he called his second wife, Diane. The prosecutor noted that the defendant blamed his ex-wife for their son's suicide and claimed that his life had been ruined by her.

"ANN WAS A LOVING AND KIND-HEARTED PERSON"

Ann Blackwood's family stated in a statement after the incident that they were experiencing great devastation, saying, "Ann was a loving, compassionate, and kind-hearted person, greatly loved by her daughter, siblings, family, and all her friends. She led an active life in her retirement, engaging in activities such as tennis, sailing, cycling, and music."

While the defendant Martin Suter remains in custody, it has been reported that his sentence will be announced on November 21. Judge Michael Bowes is expected to deliver his decision on November 7.
