A family in Tekirdağ experienced a shock due to their natural gas bill. A bill of 22,913 lira was sent to the home of a family of two living on Beste Street in the Yunus Emre neighborhood of Kapaklı district.
THE FAMILY WAS SHOCKED
While a portion of 10,130 lira was covered by state support, the remaining 12,782 lira was imposed as a payment obligation on the family.
The homeowner, F.K., who argued that the bill amount was extraordinary, reminded that last month they only received a natural gas bill of 173 lira. Expressing that they thought the amount received this month was a mistake, F.K. said, "There are only two people living in the house, it is impossible for such a high bill to come. Other apartments in the building have bills around 100-200 lira."
"WE COULDN'T REACH THE AUTHORITIES"
F.K. stated that they wanted to report the situation to the authorities after receiving the bill, but they could not reach anyone, saying, "We called immediately when we saw the bill, but no one answered the phones. We cannot understand how such a high debt occurred," explaining the distress they experienced. The family is requesting the correction of the bill they believe to be erroneous.
