The incident occurred around 10:50 on İstiklal Avenue. While the police officer was waiting at his fixed point, a suspect approached him from behind. The suspect then acted quickly and stabbed the officer in the neck with the knife he was holding.

As the attacker ran away, the police officer staggered for a while.
