"OUR TEARS HAVE FINALLY STOPPED AFTER 13 MONTHS"
Metin Arslan, the father who has been waiting for news of his son with tears for 13 months, was overwhelmed with joy upon receiving the news. Saying that he had a video call with his son Engin in the morning, father Metin Arslan stated, "It's a wonderful feeling. Our tears have finally stopped after 13 months. Our tears of joy are flowing now. May God never let us experience something like this again. May God bless everyone who contributed. He called me at 8:30 in the morning. He said he was out and on the road. We had video calls 2-3 more times. They said they were coming towards Aleppo. They said there is no internet where they are right now, but we know he is on the road. They said they passed Aleppo. They must be very close to the border. They will return to Manisa within 1-2 days, depending on the process. We will embrace our son soon. We contacted the necessary places. We spoke with our mayor and the personnel there. We talked to the governorships. They said he would return home shortly. We followed this war every day through the news. I turned on the news at 4 in the morning, and at 8:30, the good news came," he said.
"WE WERE IN A VERY BIG TRIAL"
Mother Sultan Arslan, who said she would no longer cry, stated, "I will not cry anymore. My tears have not stopped for over a year. Thank God I heard his voice in the morning; I saw his face during the video call. It brought some relief to my heart. He has changed. I only saw his face. But as long as I can reunite with my child by God's permission, everything will be fine. May God bless everyone who helped. We were in a very big trial. May God not let anyone experience this," she said.
Meanwhile, it has been learned that Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu, the Deputy Group Chairman of the AK Party and Manisa Deputy, personally spoke with Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya to ensure that Engin Arslan, who is about to reach the Turkish border, passes through without any issues.
