A candidate who was 2 minutes late for the first session of the YKS in Antalya was not allowed to enter. While his father tried to persuade the officials, his son said, "Dad, never mind, I didn't really want to go in anyway."
The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) conducted the first session of the YKS, the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT), in 81 provinces of Turkey and in Nicosia. The TYT, which started at 10:15 and had approximately 3,500 students registered in Serik, was held in 11 schools. Those who were to take the exam gathered around the schools with their families early in the morning.
ARRIVED 2 MINUTES LATE FOR THE EXAM
A candidate who was to take the exam at Akdeniz University Serik Gülsün-Süleyman Süral Vocational School was not allowed into the hall due to a 2-minute delay. The student's father insisted to the officials that his son should be allowed in.
"FORGET IT, I DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE IT ANYWAY"
The father tried to convince the officials by saying, "We just arrived. Let the child in, he can't enter with a 2-minute delay." However, his son said, "Dad, forget it, I didn't want to take it anyway." The father and son left the school after receiving a negative response.
