In the Gölcük district of Kocaeli, a person who did not comply with a stop order and attempted to flee caused chaos in the middle of the street. The individual, who resisted the police with a knife, was injured in the abdomen as a result of gunfire. The incident was captured on the mobile phone camera of bystanders.
Images have emerged showing the moments of terror caused by the suspect, who was shot and neutralized by the police in Kocaeli's Gölcük district while resisting with a knife.
SHOT IN THE ABDOMEN AFTER RESISTING WITH A KNIFE
The incident occurred around 14:00 on Cumhuriyet Street in the Merkez neighborhood. Police teams on patrol in the area noticed S.T. (33), who had an outstanding arrest warrant. Allegedly, the suspect, who did not comply with the police's "stop" warning and resisted with a knife, was shot and wounded in the abdomen.
Health teams were dispatched to the scene following a report made to the 112 Emergency Call Center. After the initial intervention, the individual was taken to Gölcük Necati Çelik State Hospital, where it was reported that his life was in danger.

The video captured by a mobile phone shows S.T. entering a transfer shop, the police attempting to spray S.T. with pepper spray, and S.T. coming outside with a knife, running around, followed by several gunshots being heard. It is also seen that the neutralized S.T. is lying on the ground.
