The tired bullet killed the 11-month-old baby playing at home with his mother.

The incident took place on Bayındır Street in Çeltikçi neighborhood of Aydın. While playing at home with her mother, Pera baby was hit by a stray bullet that bounced off the ceiling of their house.

The baby, who was severely injured by the stray bullet, could not be saved despite all interventions at Söke Fehime Faik Kocagöz State Hospital where she was taken.

HEADMAN MADE A CALL

Murat Bahadır, the headman of Çeltikçi neighborhood, said, "A stray bullet hit a little child in our valuable Çeltikçi neighborhood, near Bayındır Street and Yavuz Selim High School in Cumhuriyet neighborhood. If anyone has any information about the gunshot or the person who fired it, I kindly ask our citizens to give their statements to the police officers."

INVESTIGATION INITIATED

The Söke District Police Department has launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
