According to the information obtained, Mehmet Karabıyık (18) left his home in the Tacir neighborhood on his motorcycle, saying, "I'm going to my girlfriend in Boyalıca." When he did not return home by evening and could not be reached by phone, his family filed a missing person report.

Search efforts were initiated for the young man, who was no longer heard from. The İznik District Gendarmerie Command teams found the missing young man dead in a wooded area in the Aydınlar locality of İznik.
