Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu stated, "Our family size is shrinking, and our population is decreasing. Today, our fertility rate has fallen below 1.5. That's why, as our President said, every household should have three children."
Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu attended the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress of the AKP in Edirne. The congress, held in a hotel, was attended by Minister Memişoğlu, AK Party Deputy Chairman Vedat Demiröz, Edirne Deputy Fatma Aksal, Istanbul Deputies Halis Dalkılıç and Seda Gören Bölük, AK Party Edirne Provincial Chairman Belgin İba, former deputies, representatives of civil society organizations, muhtars, party members, and citizens.
"EVERY HOUSE SHOULD HAVE 3 CHILDREN"
Stating that there are 3 risks in society, Memişoğlu expressed the following: "We need to solve these together. The first is; inactivity and weight. Because 60% of this society is overweight. Second; our President is very angry; the increase in smoking and substance addiction, plus now the internet addiction that our children are exposed to. Third, family; our family is getting smaller. Our population is decreasing. Today, our fertility rate has fallen below 1.5.
This indicates that our population is aging in the future, not decreasing; this is a risk. Today, the fertility rate of the 45,000 people killed by the evil civilization we call is 4, while ours is 1.5. Therefore, as our President said, every house should have 3 children. I believe that society will achieve this with awareness on this issue."
