The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Bağlarbaşı neighborhood. According to reports, El Fettah, who lived alone, noticed the flames after her electric heater toppled over and attempted to extinguish the fire by pouring water on it. At that moment, the elderly woman was electrocuted and collapsed to the ground.
SHE LOST HER LIFE
Upon seeing the smoke rising from the house, neighbors alerted the authorities, and police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams confirmed that El Fettah had lost her life.
Fatma El Fettah's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute's morgue for an autopsy after investigations at the scene. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
