A 31-year-old cargo branch manager, who noticed a package filled with illegal cigarettes left at a cargo branch in Adana and handed it over to the police, was shot and killed by the individuals who brought the package.

CALLED THE POLICE AS SOON AS HE NOTICED

The incident occurred around 3:00 PM at a cargo branch in the Çukurova district. According to allegations, an unidentified person left a package containing smuggled cigarettes at the cargo branch and left the area. The branch manager K.Ç. reported the situation to the police upon noticing it. The police who arrived at the scene seized the smuggled cigarettes inside the package.

SHOT AND KILLED BY FRIENDS AFTER RAIDING THE BRANCH

Upon learning about the situation, the person who delivered the package came to the cargo branch with his friends. The individuals who argued with 31-year-old K.Ç. opened fire with a gun and fled. K.Ç., shot in the groin, collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. K.Ç. was taken to the hospital by medical teams but could not be saved despite the interventions.

POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR THE SUSPECTS EVERYWHERE

K.Ç.'s body was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution morgue for autopsy. The police have launched an operation to capture the fleeing suspects.
