According to the statistics published by TÜİK, 10 districts have surpassed the population of 50 provinces. Among these 10 districts, 4 are located in Istanbul, while 2 districts each from Ankara and Gaziantep are also on the list.
According to the Address-Based Population Registration System (ADNKS) data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the 10 most populous districts in Turkey have been identified.
According to the data, many districts of large cities, especially Istanbul, have a population larger than a significant portion of the provinces in Turkey.
LEFT BEHIND 57 PROVINCES
According to TÜİK's data, the Esenyurt district of Istanbul ranks first on the list, surpassing 57 provinces. The second place is held by the Şahinbey district of Gaziantep, and the third place is occupied by the Çankaya district of Ankara.
