With the overthrow of the 61-year Ba'ath regime in Syria, an era has come to an end. Bashar al-Assad fled hastily to Moscow, the capital of Russia, while the regime's iconic buildings and institutions became targets for the opposition. ASSAD'S YOUTH PHOTOS EMERGEDOne of them was Bashar al-Assad's presidential palace. As the palace was being looted, previously unseen photos of Assad also surfaced.
