Highlighting that China is a major factor, the expert noted that there is significant backlash from U.S. allies as well, and emphasized the automotive sector.

A disaster is unfolding in the financial markets. The sharp decline in precious metals alongside the US dollar has become the number one agenda globally.
Prof. Dr. Kamer Kasım, a faculty member at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, was a guest of Abdurrahman Yazıcı on Haberler.com. He stated that the new tax move by the USA, which has serious implications for global politics and economics, is based more on economic rather than political grounds. He also emphasized that the 25% tax imposed on the automotive sector by the USA also includes Canada and Mexico. He outlined the opportunities ahead for Turkey.
Prof. Dr. Kasım continued his statements as follows: Trump's additional tax decisions are not politically motivated but rather economically driven. For every tariff foreign countries impose on the USA, the USA has imposed at least half as much. The 25% tax on the automotive sector by the USA also includes Canada and Mexico. One of the main purposes of the additional taxes is to close the trade gap with China. However, the decisions received a very harsh reaction from the European Union, especially from France.
