Galatasaray will be without three of its players ahead of the crucial match against Monaco in the Champions League. The club's doctor, Yener İnce, announced that Lemina, Kaan Ayhan, and Singo, who are injured, will not be included in the squad.
In the 6th week of the UEFA Champions League group stage, Galatasaray will face the French representative Monaco away from home. Before the match, the club's doctor Yener İnce provided important information about the team's health status.
"WE ARE IN A VERY INTENSE PACE"
In his statement, Yener İnce expressed that the consecutive matches played recently have put pressure on player health. "We are playing a match every three days. We are in a very intense pace. We want to use the rotation in the most effective way in this tight schedule," said İnce, noting that they have had to take necessary risks at times due to deficiencies in the defense line.
THREE PLAYERS WILL NOT BE IN THE MONACO SQUAD
Reminding that Kazımcan is not on the European list, İnce stated that they are trying to take initiative for Jakobs together with the technical team. However, in the last evaluations made before the Monaco match, it was announced that three players would definitely not be in the squad.
"I can clearly say that Lemina, Kaan Ayhan, and Singo will not be with us," said Yener İnce, expressing that the distribution of playing time will be determined after tests are conducted on the other players.
"WE PRIORITIZE PLAYER HEALTH"
İnce emphasized that despite some criticisms, player health is more important than anything else, stating, "Our players are aware of their own situations. We make decisions without forgetting the medical realities. There may be criticisms due to rotation, but we are progressing with the sacrifices of our players under the current conditions."
