A 10-year-old boy named Amir Alcedduh, who went missing in the Reyhanlı district of Hatay, was found after days of search efforts, injured on his head and with most of his body buried in the ground. When taken to the hospital, Amir's first request was for "water."

10-year-old Syrian national Amir Alcedduh, living in the Kurtuluş neighborhood of Reyhanlı district, went missing after not returning home from school on Friday. The family, unable to get news of their child, went to the Reyhanlı District Police Department to file a missing person report. Upon the notification, police teams initiated a camera monitoring operation throughout the district, especially in the area where Amir's school is located.
FOUND BURIED
As a result of the police teams reviewing over 200 camera recordings, Amir's uncle M.E. was taken into custody as a suspect in the case. Although the uncle, who was caught on a house camera with his nephew on the dam road, claimed he was unaware of his nephew's situation, the police, AFAD, gendarmerie, and NGOs initiated a search operation in the area. With the efforts of the teams, the missing child was found two days later, buried in the ground with a head injury.
REPORTED THAT HIS UNCLE KIDNAPPED AND BEAT HIM
The child, who communicated with the teams, stated that he was kidnapped and beaten by his uncle after school. Severely injured Amir was taken to Hatay Education and Research Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was placed in intensive care. The father, Muhammed El Cedduh, expressed that his child's condition was good and stated that he did not know why his uncle did such a thing, thanking state officials and the Turkish people.
AMIR'S FIRST REQUEST BROKE HEARTS
It was captured on camera that Amir Alcedduh first asked for water from the medical staff who contacted him in the hospital. It was reported that the child's health condition was good as treatment began.
THE CRUEL UNCLE WAS ARRESTED
The 30-year-old uncle M.E., who was taken into custody on Friday and denied the charges, was arrested by the magistrate court. It was learned that M.E. had one record for 'causing injury by negligence.'
