A woman in the Yunusemre district of Manisa claimed to have seen a baby corpse in a manhole. While police, fire department, and MASKI teams were dispatched to the scene, no baby corpse was found during the searches.
Upon a woman's claim that she saw a baby corpse in a manhole in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Yunusemre district in Manisa, police, fire department, and MASKI teams were put on alert.
According to the information obtained, a woman named S.E., who asked her neighbor for help due to her mother's toilet being clogged in an apartment, opened the manhole cover together.
SHE SAID SHE SAW A BABY CORPSE IN THE MANHOLE, THE SITUATION ESCALATED
At that moment, S.E. claimed that she saw a baby corpse in a bag in the manhole, and reported the situation to the authorities, stating that the bottom of the bag tore and the baby and the bag fell into the manhole.
Upon the notification, police, fire department, and Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKI) teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams that arrived in the area began a detailed search in and around the manhole line based on the claim.
THE CLAIM TURNED OUT TO BE FALSE
In the examinations conducted, no baby corpse was found in the sewer line where the baby was claimed to have been seen. While the teams continued their search by opening other manhole covers in the direction where the sewage flows, it was learned that the investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
