The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to announce companies identified as having engaged in imitation or adulteration following its food inspections. The list dated October 22, 2025, particularly highlighted fraudulent productions in sausages.
THEY FED TONGUE INSTEAD OF SAUSAGE
According to the ministry's analysis results, it was determined that some sausages produced in the provinces of Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, and Aksaray contained mechanically separated poultry meat and offal (head, tongue, gizzard). It was found that brands such as Afyon Keyf-i Sucuk, Tütüncüoğlu, Soylutürk, Güç Birliği, and Kocatürk, which are based in Afyonkarahisar, used these substances instead of beef in their products. The ministry published the complete list of these products along with their batch numbers on the website "guvenilirgida.tarimorman.gov.tr".
FRAUD IS NOT JUST IN SAUSAGES
According to the inspection results, fraudulent products were not limited to the meat group.
Some products were found to have the following irregularities:
- Prohibited food coloring in tarhana,
- Offal meat in minced meat börek and beef meatballs,
- Foreign substances in spices,
- Imitation products in honey,
- Poultry meat in lahmacun filling.
WARNING ABOUT PUBLIC HEALTH RISKS
The data revealed by the ministry shows that practices endangering public health in food production continue. Experts warned that such products could weaken the immune system in the long term and lead to allergic reactions and digestive problems.
