Users reacted to the municipality's stance with comments such as, "Congratulations for finding something more ridiculous to do at a time when water scarcity is at the door," "Then why is water running out?" SHARP DECLINE IN WATER LEVELS IN THE LAST YEAR

On the other hand, according to the data announced by İSKİ; the dam filling rate, which was at 31% in October 2024, has decreased to 23% with an 8-point drop as of October 2025. This rate is also below the average for the same period over the last 10 years. For example, the filling rates were 66% in 2015, 51% in 2018, and 46% in 2021, and this year has been recorded as one of the lowest levels in the last 10 years.
