The construction work that began in Gaza with Turkish-flagged construction machinery has drawn the reaction of the Israeli government. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made a scandalous statement, saying, "No Turk has entered Gaza and no Turk will enter." However, the peace agreement, of which Turkey is also a guarantor, stipulates the access of Turkish teams to Gaza.
After the war in Gaza, debris removal and reconstruction efforts have begun. Among the rubble, the Turkish flag waved on the construction machinery working to reach the missing and restart life in the city. The images of workers laboring in the shadow of the flag quickly resonated on social media.
SCANDALOUS TURKEY REMARK FROM ISRAEL
Following the spread of the images, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a stern statement saying, "No Turk has entered Gaza and no Turk will enter." U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance expressed support for the Tel Aviv administration with the words, "No one can force Israel." However, according to the Israel-Hamas peace agreement guaranteed by the U.S., Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, it was decided that Turkish humanitarian aid teams would operate in Gaza.
"WHERE IS THE ABSOLUTE VICTORY?"
Israel's Minister of Social Equality Meirav Cohen reacted to the activities of Turkish aid organizations in Gaza, criticizing the government with the words, "Where is the absolute victory that Netanyahu mentioned?" In response, Netanyahu claimed that "the workers carrying the Turkish flag are not Turks, they are only wearing the vests of the aid organization."
ENTRY BAN FOR AFAD TEAM
Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu prevented the entry of AFAD's 81-member search and rescue team into Gaza. Stating, "I am determined not to let any Turk into Gaza," Netanyahu also expressed, "I have very strong opinions regarding the possible participation of Turkish soldiers. Would you like to guess? I think you know."
