A police officer in the Ataşehir district of Istanbul shot his colleague in the leg with a gun after a fight over being late for work.
POLICE OFFICER SHOT HIS COLLEAGUE WITH A GUN
According to the information received, a dispute occurred between police officer A.A. and R.O.A. at the Şehit Hayrettin Yıldırım Police Station in the Örnek neighborhood of Ataşehir over the claim of being late for work. As the argument escalated, a brief scuffle ensued. Other officers intervened to calm the fight between the two colleagues, but police officer R.O.A. shot A.A. in the leg as he attempted to leave the scene.
The suspect police officer quickly fled the area in his vehicle. The injured A.A. was taken to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Hospital.
