The toll from the bus accident in Brazil is rising. The number of fatalities in the collision between a passenger bus and a truck in the state of Minas Gerais has increased to 38. AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN LAUNCHEDThe Minas Gerais fire department reported that 13 of the 45 passengers on the bus were taken to hospitals near the city of Teofilo Otoni. Authorities stated that all victims have been removed from the scene and that the cause of the accident will be determined as a result of an investigation. 'FULL MOBILIZATION' ORDER GIVENMinas Gerais Governor Romeu Zema announced on his social media account that he has given a "full mobilization" order to the Minas Gerais government to assist the victims. Zema stated, "We are trying to ensure that the families of those who died in the accident are supported to face this tragedy, which occurred just before Christmas, in the most humane way possible."
