30% INCREASE IN IZMIR

In the 2025 Financial Budget Draft of the Izmir Water and Sewerage Administration (IZSU), the institution's income and expenses were announced. According to the announced draft, the rate of increase in water tariffs will be 30%. It was stated that the new tariff will be valid from January 1, 2025. Thus, the price of 0-4 cubic meters of water will rise from 24.85 to 32.31 TL, the price of 5-10 cubic meters of water will increase from 48.04 to 62.45 TL, the price of 11-20 cubic meters of water will go up from 61.43 to 79.86 TL, and the price of water over 21 cubic meters will rise from 115.03 to 149.54 TL.

In the extraordinary general assembly meeting of IZSU in June, a 45% increase in water prices had also been made.
