According to the data from the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, the product that saw the highest price increase in October was bell pepper, while the product that decreased the most in price was lemon.

In October, the price of green peppers increased the most in Istanbul. The product that decreased the most in price was lemon. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) announced the products with the highest price increases and decreases in retail prices in Istanbul last October, along with their prices and change rates, to ensure market transparency and inform the public. Among the 242 products listed in ITO's Istanbul Wage Earners' Living Index, the retail price of 147 products increased, while the price of 18 products decreased, and the price of 77 products remained unchanged.

THE PRICE OF GREEN PEPPERS INCREASED BY 56.17% IN OCTOBER

In October, green pepper, which is in the fresh and dried vegetables and fruits sub-group of food expenditures, became the product with the highest price increase at 56.17%. Some of the other products that experienced price increases include; from the women's clothing sub-group of clothing expenditures, women's sweaters at 48.72%, from the fresh and dried vegetables and fruits sub-group of food expenditures, zucchini at 43.90%, cucumbers at 42.48%, from the men's clothing sub-group of clothing expenditures, men's coats at 39.62%, from the women's clothing sub-group at 38.07% women's blouses, from the men's clothing sub-group at 37.75% suits, and men's overcoats at 37.32%.

LEMON DECREASED BY 10.46% IN OCTOBER

In October 2024, lemon, which is in the fresh and dried vegetables and fruits sub-group of food expenditures, became the product with the highest price decrease at 10.46%. Some of the other products that experienced price decreases include; from the transportation and communication expenditures group, intercity bus ticket prices at 7.32%, from the fresh and dried vegetables and fruits sub-group of food expenditures, cabbage at 7.20%, from the culture, education, and entertainment expenditures group, theater ticket prices at 3.33%, and from the food expenditures group, bottled water at 2.27%. - ISTANBUL
