In property transactions, a 3D digital building model will be mandatory in 2025.

The General Director of Land Registry and Cadastre, Hakan Gedikli, announced that the 3D Digital Building Model will become mandatory for transactions related to condominium rights and property ownership. This application is expected to be a significant innovation in the real estate sector.

The General Director of Land Registry and Cadastre, Hakan Gedikli, stated, "In transactions related to condominium and property ownership, the submission of the 3D Digital Building Model along with the architectural project to our General Directorate in a secure electronic environment will become mandatory nationwide as of January 1, 2025."

WILL BE MANDATORY AS OF JANUARY 1, 2025

Gedikli, in a written statement, conveyed that the "3D City Models Production and 3D Cadastre Base Creation Project" will ensure that buildings are recorded and audited in a more secure and transparent manner in the digital environment. Hakan Gedikli noted: In this context, the submission of the 3D Digital Building Model along with the architectural project to our General Directorate in a secure electronic environment will become mandatory nationwide as of January 1, 2025. Additionally, all information regarding the studies to be carried out under the 'Digital Building' concept can be accessed from the institutional website 'dijitalbina.tkgm.gov.tr'.

3D MODEL STARTS IN LAND REGISTRY

Emphasizing that the use of the 3D Digital Building Model in land registry transactions in Turkey will be considered a significant innovation in the real estate sector by 2025, Gedikli pointed out that the implementation will also make a significant contribution to achieving the goal of digitalization.

Gedikli stated, "This innovation will also provide significant contributions to reducing natural disaster risks and improving disaster management. I believe that all stakeholders in the sector will make the necessary preparations during the transition period and fulfill the system's requirements by the specified date."
