The Lebanese Civil Defense General Directorate announced that the bodies of 13 individuals were found during search operations in areas where the Israeli army has withdrawn. Thus, the total number of bodies found has risen to 53.

Thirteen bodies have been found in four towns where the Israeli army has withdrawn in southern Lebanon.

In a statement from the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Lebanon, it was reported that the bodies of 8 people were found in En-Nakura, 2 in El-Beyyada, 1 in Tayr Harfa, and 2 in El-Hiyam, where the Israeli army has withdrawn in the south of the country.

In the statement, it was noted that the bodies and limbs found have been handed over to the authorities for DNA testing, and it was emphasized that the operations coordinated by the Lebanese army will continue until all missing persons are found.

THE NUMBER OF BODIES RECOVERED HAS INCREASED TO 53

Thus, the number of bodies recovered in the search and field operations conducted in the towns where the Israeli army has withdrawn in southern Lebanon has increased to 53, including 42 from Hiyam.

The ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Lebanon came into effect on November 27, 2024, at 04:00 local time. According to the agreement, the Lebanese army is expected to gradually deploy to the areas occupied by Israel in southern Lebanon within 60 days.
