Businessmen Ali İlbak and Yusuf İlbak, who were detained as part of the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, have been released under judicial control measures.

Businessmen Ali İlbak and Yusuf İlbak, who are detained as part of the "corruption" investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), have been released under judicial control measures of "prohibition of leaving the country" and "house arrest".

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues its "corruption" investigation against suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his position as IMM President after being arrested, on charges of "being a leader of a criminal organization", "being a member of a criminal organization", "embezzlement", "bribery", "qualified fraud", "illegally obtaining personal data", and "interfering with a tender".

RELEASE DECISION FOR 2 BUSINESSMEN

During the monthly detention review held yesterday for Ali İlbak and Yusuf İlbak, who were arrested on March 23 as part of the investigation, the prosecution requested the continuation of the suspects' detention.

The Istanbul 4th Criminal Judgeship of Peace decided to release Ali İlbak and Yusuf İlbak under judicial control measures of "prohibition of leaving the country" and "house arrest".

The decision stated that although there were findings indicating strong suspicion of the crime attributed to the suspects based on the existing evidence in the file, it was concluded that judicial control measures would be more proportionate at the current stage of the case.

MURAT İLBAK WAS RELEASED ON JUNE 2

Additionally, it has been learned that businessman Murat İlbak was also released on June 2 under judicial control measures of "prohibition of leaving the country" and "house arrest" by the Istanbul 6th Criminal Judgeship of Peace.

In the release decision for Murat İlbak, it was noted that the nature and characteristics of the crime attributed to the suspect, the content of the statement he provided to the prosecution, his fixed residence, the stage of the investigation, and the duration of the suspect's detention were taken into account.
