The fight in the İBB Council started when the AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Zeynel Abidin Okul claimed that the Council President Nuri Arslan was managing the council in a biased manner.

AK PARTY COUNCIL MEMBER WAS NOT GIVEN THE RIGHT TO SPEAK

During the regular meeting of the İBB Council in November, after Council President Nuri Arslan did not give the right to speak to the AK Party Kartal council member, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Zeynel Abidin Okul took the floor. He criticized the 1st Vice President of the İBB Council, Nuri Arslan, for not being impartial.

VOICES ROSE FROM THE AK PARTY BENCHES

Okul said, "You are the president of the council, not just the CHP group, act accordingly." When AK Party members also criticized, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ülkü Sakalar took the floor and read the regulation article regarding the management of the council by the council president. While Sakalar was reading the regulation articles, voices from the AK Party benches rose, asking, "Are you going to expel us from the council?"

In response to the reactions of the AK Party members, the discussion escalated. Immediately afterward, some council members charged at each other. While a brawl that escalated to punches was observed in the hall, some also threw water bottles at each other.
