There are still 4 years until the elections, but polling companies are already measuring the political preferences of the citizens. Asal Research asked in their latest study, "If there was a parliamentary election this Sunday, who would you vote for?" The answer given by the citizens showed that CHP came first with 33.2%. AK Party, on the other hand, came second with 31.5%, trailing behind by a margin of 1.7 points.

In the Local Elections on March 31, the success of the CHP, which has become the first party in Turkey, is also reflected in the public opinion polls conducted for the general elections. In the July survey, CHP surpassed the ruling party AK Party by 1.7 points.

GENERAL ELECTION SURVEY IN 26 PROVINCES

The study was conducted in 26 provinces including Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Bursa, Balıkesir, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Kırıkkale, Konya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Samsun, Şanlıurfa, Tekirdağ, Trabzon, Van, Yalova and Zonguldak between July 10-17, 2024. The survey, in which 2 thousand people participated, asked the citizens the question "If there were parliamentary elections this Sunday, who would you vote for?"

NOTABLE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHP AND AK PARTY

With the distribution of the undecided voters, CHP ranked first with 33.2% while AK Party ranked second with 31.5% with a difference of 1.7 points. MHP ranked third with 9.5% and DEM Party ranked fourth with 9.1%.

The distribution of votes for the parties is as follows;

  • CHP: 33.2%
  • AK Party: 31.5%
  • MHP: 9.5%
  • DEM Party: 9.1%
  • IYI Party: 4.7%
  • Yeniden Refah: 4.3%
  • Zafer Party: 3.5%
  • Turkey Workers' Party: 1.0%
  • Other: 3.2%
