Among the 4 suspects who gave statements in the investigation regarding the "match-fixing" conspiracy of the Gülenist Terror Organization (FETÖ), Lütfi Arıboğan and İlhan Helvacı were highlighted in the indictment prepared by the prosecutor's office, emphasizing their connections with FETÖ convict Mehmet Baransu.

The investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding FETÖ's "match-fixing" conspiracy is ongoing.

NOTABLE DETAIL IN THE INDICTMENT

In the indictment regarding suspects Arıboğan and Helvacı, who are requested to be placed under judicial control for the crime of "aiding the organization without being a member," it was stated that many former public officials, including prosecutors, judges, police, and press members involved in the conspiracy investigation and prosecutions known to the public as the "Match-Fixing Investigation" in 2011, have been prosecuted.

“THEY WANTED TO HAVE A SAY IN FENERBAHÇE CLUB”

The indictment noted that the Gülenist Terror Organization/Parallel State Structure (FETÖ/PDY) aimed to seize control of the football community and wanted to do this through Fenerbahçe Sports Club, one of Turkey's major sports clubs that appeals to large masses. It was mentioned that for this purpose, they chose Aziz Yıldırım, the club's president, whom the organization disliked, and that the documents seized in the Isparta Chief Public Prosecutor's Office indicated that Aziz Yıldırım had no religious connections, but it was stated that they had wiretapped him under the pretext of "IBDA/C," a terrorist organization that exploits religion.

The text stated that they arrested Aziz Yıldırım with the "match-fixing operation" they conducted on July 3, 2011, and that some of the suspects detained during the operation were directed to give statements against Yıldırım by saying, "Give up Aziz Yıldırım and be free," revealing that they aimed to both get rid of Yıldırım and seize control of the football team.

THEY CORRESPONDED WITH MEHMET BARANSU

In the investigation initiated regarding the electronic mail correspondence alleged to have taken place between Lütfi Arıboğan and FETÖ convict Mehmet Baransu, which was reported to the prosecutor's office on May 16, it was emphasized that Baransu had previously come to the forefront for providing documents to public officials who were members of the terrorist organization in improperly conducted investigations such as "Ergenekon, Balyoz, Match-Fixing Case" by FETÖ/PDY members.

The text mentioned that Baransu was involved in press and publication activities at the FETÖ's media outlet, Taraf newspaper, and that he was convicted of "being a member of the FETÖ/PDY terrorist organization" by the Mersin 2nd Heavy Criminal Court and is currently in prison.

The indictment also stated that the accuracy of the email contents was confirmed by witness statements, and that there were numerous message contents between Baransu and Lütfi Arıboğan in the image contents.

It was noted in the text that as a result of the investigation conducted by the prosecutor's office in the TFF archives, it was determined that a large number of document folders reached the TFF on July 21, 2011, which were first recorded in the incoming and outgoing document register and then canceled and delivered to Lütfi Arıboğan's team. It was indicated that Arıboğan, with the guidance and support of Mehmet Baransu, the media wing of FETÖ/PDY, managed the sports investigations reflecting the "Match-Fixing Investigation" within the TFF and the negotiations with UEFA in line with the interests of FETÖ/PDY, together with İlhan Helvacı, who was responsible for the legal team.
