On December 15, around 22:30, terrifying moments were experienced on a bus in the Esentepe neighborhood of Eyüpsultan district in Istanbul. The bus, driven by Tuncak Budak, was heading towards Vezneciler from Çırçır Metro Station and continued on its route after picking up passengers waiting at the Yıldıztabya, Esentepe-Şehit Osman Bodur stop. PASSENGER BOARDED THE BUS AND ATTACKED WITH A KNIFEShortly after, a driver stopped his vehicle and raised his hand to signal the bus to stop. The bus driver Budak opened the front door. A dispute occurred between the two due to "yielding." The driver, who got out of his vehicle, boarded the bus and continued arguing with the driver. During the argument, the driver took a knife from his vehicle and re-boarded the bus. He began to threaten the bus driver by swinging the knife at him. PASSENGERS EXPERIENCED TERRIFYING MOMENTSPassengers who witnessed the incident were extremely frightened, while a female passenger tried to prevent the situation from escalating further by stating that there were children on the bus. PASSENGER WHO CALLED THE POLICE WAS ALSO THREATENEDThe enraged driver, who got out of the bus and returned to his vehicle, also threatened a passenger who called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report the incident. THE MOMENTS WERE CAPTURED ON CAMERAThese moments were captured on security cameras. The footage included the moments of the argument between the vehicle driver and the bus driver, as well as the moments when the driver swung the knife at the bus driver. Meanwhile, bus driver Tuncay Budak went to the police station to file a complaint against the aggressive driver.
