Increase in compulsory traffic insurance premiums

The maximum premium increase in compulsory traffic insurance has been determined as 2 percent. The implementation will start as of September 1st.

The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK) has determined the maximum premium increase rate to be applied in compulsory traffic insurance in September.

SEDDK has published a circular announcing the increase rate of premiums for compulsory motor vehicle liability insurance (compulsory traffic insurance). The circular states, "Article 1- The maximum premiums applied in August 2024, according to the temporary 11th article of the Regulation on the Application Principles of Tariffs in Motor Vehicle Compulsory Liability Insurance published in the Official Gazette dated 14/07/2007 and numbered 26582, will be increased by 2 percent for September 2024".

The implementation will start on September 1st.
