A 2-year-old girl died after falling into an irrigation pool while playing in a field in Denizli's Beyağaç district. In the shock of the incident, the grieving father got into his vehicle to follow the ambulance carrying his child, and while reversing, he panicked and hit his wife, causing her injury.
The Pınarönü neighborhood of Denizli's Beyağaç district was shaken by two consecutive tragic events. A heartbreaking incident where a 2-year-old child lost their life and the mother was injured in an accident deeply saddened those who heard about it.
FELL INTO A POOL WHILE PLAYING IN THE FIELD
According to the information gathered, the incident occurred in a field in the Pınarönü neighborhood. While the family was in the field, 2-year-old H.N., playing nearby, fell into a water-filled irrigation pool due to a momentary lapse of attention. Upon the family's notice, gendarmerie and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.
TODDLER DIED AT THE HOSPITAL
First aid was administered to the little child, who was pulled out of the water with the efforts of nearby citizens and the family, by 112 Emergency Health teams upon arrival. The 2-year-old H.N., in critical condition, was rushed to Kale State Hospital by ambulance. However, despite all medical interventions by doctors, the little one could not be saved and passed away. The child's body, after preliminary autopsy procedures at Kale State Hospital, was sent to the Denizli Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
FATHER, TRYING TO CATCH THE AMBULANCE, HIT HIS WIFE
The family's grief, already in a state of panic and shock while trying to get their child to the hospital, was compounded by a unfortunate accident. The father, wanting to follow the ambulance taking his severely injured child from the pool in his own vehicle, got behind the wheel.
The father, hastily reversing, failed to notice his wife behind the car and hit her. The grieving mother, collapsing from the impact, was injured. She received first aid at the scene and was taken to Kale State Hospital, then transferred to Tavas State Hospital for further treatment.
Gendarmerie teams have launched a comprehensive investigation into the double tragedy that devastated a family.
