The Ministry of Trade has decided to withdraw the 'Carrefour' branded bleach belonging to Carrefoursa from the market. It was stated that the product poses a risk of skin burns and eye damage due to the absence of tactile warnings and a safety cap.
Under the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS) conducted by the Ministry of Trade, products that may pose a danger to consumers continue to be disclosed one by one. The recently updated list includes the Carrefour-branded bleach offered to the market by Carrefour Sabancı Trade Center Inc.
THE REASON HAS BEEN EXPLAINED
It was stated that the product lacks critical elements for user safety, such as "tactile warning" and "safe closure mechanism." In a statement made by the ministry, the following expressions were included: "The product poses a risk of injury, skin burns, and eye damage due to the absence of tactile warning and safe closure mechanism; non-compliance has been identified due to violation of product safety regulations."
RECALLING
Following the decision, necessary procedures have been initiated to remove the relevant products from supermarket shelves and withdraw them from stock. Consumers have been warned not to use these products and to return them if they have any.
