In the missile and drone attacks carried out by Russia on Ukraine, 3 people lost their lives and dozens were injured. Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that the attacks targeted civilian objectives and called for an international response.
As a result of the attacks carried out by the Russian army on different regions of Ukraine with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), at least 3 people lost their lives, and dozens were injured.
Tensions are rising on the Russia-Ukraine front, where no agreement has been reached in ceasefire discussions. Most recently, Russia targeted Ukraine with missiles and UAVs.
40 BALLISTIC MISSILES, ATTACK WITH 580 UAVS
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated in his announcement that his country was heavily attacked by Russia throughout the night, saying, "The enemy used 40 cruise and ballistic missiles and approximately 580 UAVs of various types. We thank all our soldiers who defended the sky all night and the F-16 pilots who once again proved their capabilities today and effectively protected Ukraine from cruise missiles."
3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES, DOZENS INJURED
Zelensky also stated, "Dnipro and its surroundings, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kyiv, Odessa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were under attack. The enemy's targets were our infrastructure, residential areas, and civilian businesses. It has been determined that a missile directly hit a high-rise building in Dnipro. So far, it is known that dozens of people have been injured as a result of the bombardment. Unfortunately, 3 people lost their lives. I extend my condolences to their families and loved ones."
ZELENSKY CALLS FOR PRESSURE ON RUSSIA
Zelensky once again called for increased pressure on Russia, stating, "Each of these attacks is not a military necessity, but a deliberate strategy employed by Russia to intimidate civilians and destroy our infrastructure. Therefore, there is a need for a strong international response.
Ukraine has proven that it can defend itself and Europe, but we must act together for a reliable shield: we must strengthen air defense, increase arms supply, and expand sanctions against the Russian military structure and the sectors that finance it. Every restriction on Russia means saved lives," he said.
