RELEASED ON COVID LEAVE
Orhan Ünğan, an international drug smuggler who was accused of being an "instigator" in the death of Arzu Zindaşti, the daughter of Iranian drug smuggler fugitive Naci Şerifi Zindaşti, and her nephew, was captured in a series of operations conducted by the police this morning. Ünğan had been released on leave from prison in previous years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
REASON FOR ARREST UNKNOWN
It is not yet known on what charges Ünğan was arrested as an important part of a major operation carried out by the security forces this morning. Meanwhile, it was reported that the suspect was taken to the police station for questioning. The number of provinces covered by the operation and the number of people arrested along with Ünğan have not been disclosed yet.
