Ms. Dilan felt unwell and pulled her car to the right at the exit of the bridge. I don't know if she got out of the car or not."
Journalist Adem Metan announced on his social media account that social media influencer Dilan Polat attempted suicide. Metan stated in his post that Polat left home with the intention of committing suicide and went to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, climbing onto the railings.

Horoz expressed that after the posts made on social media, she called Engin Polat, stating, "The allegations are absolutely not true. After the incident, I called Mr. Engin. He stated that Ms. Dilan felt unwell and pulled her vehicle to the right at the bridge exit. I do not know whether she got out of the vehicle at that moment."
"I HAD A PANIC ATTACK"
In her statement at the police station, Polat said, "On October 18, 2025, at around 12:10 PM, while I was driving my vehicle on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge North Exit, I suddenly felt unwell. Due to my discomfort, I had palpitations and experienced a panic attack. I then pulled my vehicle to the right at the bridge exit with my hazard lights on and then reached out to my husband, sending him my location. I waited for a while at the bridge exit for my husband. Later, my husband came to me, and then the police teams arrived. They asked me if there was any problem. The reason I stopped at the bridge exit was not for suicidal purposes. I pulled over to the right because I felt unwell, to avoid causing a traffic accident, and waited for my husband. I am not filing a complaint or suing anyone regarding this matter. That is all I have to say."
