'HE WAS SOMEONE WHO LOOKED AT ART VERY WELL AND SAW THE WORLD VERY CLEARLY' Actor Tülin Oral, who attended the funeral, said, "He was 2 years older than me, he was my friend for 40 years. His wife was the same. They were a very good couple, both were very good artists. His wife played the violin and was a graduate of the violin department, and she was also a very good painter. Recently, she was going to paint my portrait, but that didn't happen either. We worked very well together. Besides being friends, he was also extremely compatible as a colleague.
Arif was a very harmonious person. He was very good with all his friends, very elegant. He was extremely understanding, someone who looked at art very well and saw the world very clearly. I was very happy in our conversations; talking to him opened up my world. In 'Yabancı Damat', we both worked very well together, we laughed a lot. I had a lot of fun working with him. I am very sad. There is nothing else to do, nothing to say, except to be sad for him. In fact, I was thinking of visiting him this week, but it didn't happen, but we always talked on the phone. We always shared our troubles with each other; he said to me, 'I am fine, Tülin, don't worry.' He surprised me with a bad surprise; I am sad. It is a great loss for the art world and humanity," she said.
'HE WAS OUR MULTI-TALENTED ARTIST BROTHER, OUR FATHER' Actor Salih Kalyon stated, "I met Arif Erkin Güzelbeyoğlu at Dostlar Theater. He was one of the founders of Dostlar Theater. I had the chance to act together in Başar Sabuncu's play 'Zemberek'. Later, he composed the music for the series 'Bizimkiler' and acted in some episodes. He was a very valuable architect, musician, and our multi-talented artist brother, our father. He left us today. May his soul rest in peace," he said.
