The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that, during the verdict hearing of the "Dalton Criminal Organization" case held in the hall located within the Marmara Prison Campus, an investigation was initiated following a scuffle between the gendarmerie teams and the defendants. As a result, detention orders were issued for three lawyers on charges of "recording audio or video" and "knowingly and willingly aiding the organization without being a member."

The decision hearing of the case with 363 defendants, led by Barış Boyun, who is detained in Italy, was held on December 22 in the No. 1 courtroom located within the Marmara Prison Campus by the Istanbul 16th High Criminal Court, where a fight broke out between gendarmerie teams and the defendants. Tear gas was used in the courtroom. The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that an investigation had been initiated regarding the offenses of "resisting a public official in the performance of their duties" and "damaging public property."

THEY ATTACKED THE GENDARMERIE

In the continuation of the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's statement, it was stated, "On December 22, 2025, in the No. 1 courtroom located within the Marmara Prison Campus, during the trial known to the public as the 'Dalton Criminal Organization Case' with 363 defendants, while the decisions were being announced, a physical attack was carried out by some defendants against the gendarmerie personnel responsible for maintaining order and security in the courtroom, and it was also determined that public property was damaged. Following the incident, our Chief Public Prosecutor's Organized Crime Investigation Bureau immediately initiated a judicial investigation under file number 2025/154324 regarding the offenses of 'Resisting a Public Official in the Performance of Their Duties' regulated in Article 265 of the Turkish Penal Code and 'Damaging Public Property' regulated in Article 152."

SEARCHES WERE CONDUCTED IN THE HOMES AND OFFICES OF THREE LAWYERS

During the investigations conducted within the scope of the inquiry, it was noted that three lawyers named T.G., S.K., and K.Y. were found to have "recorded audio and video without permission" during the hearing.

The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that a directive was issued for searches to be conducted in the homes and offices of the lawyers for the offenses of "recording audio or video" and "knowingly and willingly aiding an organization without being a member of it," leading to their detention.
