PROTEST IN LONDON FOR IRAN
Protesters gathered near the address of the Prime Minister's office, calling for support for their "struggle" in Iran. Those participating in the protest carried photos of individuals who lost their lives in Iran and raised various banners to call on the international community.
THEY CARRIED IRANIAN FLAGS
Protesters also carried banners featuring photos of the exiled son of the deposed Iranian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Reza Pahlavi, as well as Iranian flags with sun and lion motifs used before the 1979 revolution in Iran. During the demonstration, protesters frequently chanted slogans of "Freedom." Despite the cold weather, a large number of people from different age groups participated in the protest, and the demonstrators also sent messages of solidarity with various social movements in Iran.
The British police took security measures around Whitehall during the protest. It was reported that no incidents occurred during the action.
