US President Trump made his first statement following the inconclusive US-Iran negotiations held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Trump said, "The US Navy will begin a blockade process on all ships in the Strait of Hormuz."
Trump used the following statements in his announcement:
"As you can see, the meeting went well, and an agreement was reached on most issues; however, the only important issue, which is the nuclear matter, could not be resolved. Therefore, effective immediately, the best in the world, the United States Navy, will initiate the process of blockading all ships entering or exiting the Strait of Hormuz. Any Iranian entity that fires upon us or peaceful vessels will be destroyed. The blockade will begin soon. Other countries will join this blockade. Iran will not be allowed to benefit from this illegal blackmail."
