Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi emphasized that they will not back down in the war against the US and Israel and that they do not accept a ceasefire, stating that they are only open to negotiations if there is a proposal for a permanent solution that addresses Iran's damages.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that they will not back down in the ongoing war with the US and Israel. Araghchi stated that they are closed to a ceasefire but open to proposals that include a permanent solution and compensation for damages.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Araghchi emphasized that Iran's political system is strong, stating that the loss of high-ranking figures will not shake the country. He stressed that institutions are not dependent on individuals, and even in the event of the loss of the highest leader, the system will continue to function.

"THE US WAS DRAGGED INTO THIS WAR BY ISRAEL"

Araghchi argued that Iran did not start the war, stating that they responded to US and Israeli attacks. Regarding the targeting of US bases, he said, "Our missiles cannot reach US territory. Therefore, we have to hit American bases in the region."

Araghchi also stated that civilian targets were not deliberately targeted, acknowledging that unintended consequences may have occurred, but this was not intentional.

"THIS WAR WAS A MISCALCULATION"

Araghchi suggested that the US does not have a clear objective in the war, stating, "Americans were dragged into this war by Israel, and they themselves do not even know what they are doing. This process was a miscalculation, and now they are in a difficult situation." He also noted that the US is seeking support regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the Washington administration needs to acknowledge its mistake and end its aggression.

"WE DO NOT ACCEPT A CEASEFIRE"

Reiterating that Iran does not want a ceasefire, Araghchi said, "We do not accept a ceasefire. We do not want this scenario to repeat. However, if there is a proposal that will permanently end the war and compensate for Iran's damages, we will listen."

Araghchi stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened to ships connected to the US and Israel, suggesting that a joint protocol could be established with regional countries after the war.

HAMANEY'S STATEMENT

Addressing claims regarding the health status of Iran's new leader Mojtaba Hamaney, Araghchi said, "He has superficial wounds, his health is good, and the situation is under control."
